You could wind up repaying your advance premium tax credit and miss out on future subsidies
Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies help lower premiums and out-of-pocket expenses for many people. The Department of Health and Human Services reported that about 85 percent of the 11.1 million people with active Marketplace coverage (i.e., those who bought health insurance from state-based or federally facilitated exchanges) as of March 31, 2016, were receiving an advance premium tax credit.
